IBC is an independent financial adviser that works harder to understand your specific
needs and find solutions that suit your situation perfectly.
Plan today for a wonderful life tomorrow.
At IBC, we value experience as much as new ideas – it’s why we always give you
the benefit of our experience but don’t shy away from looking in new directions – and
it’s why we have professionals that cover all generations and expertise.
Ken graduated with a BA in Risk Management in 1994 and has been in the financial services industry ever since. Following over 10 years with an International Plc as a Corporate IFA, he set up IBC with a view to providing bespoke solutions to corporate and individual clients, with a focus on client relationships and flexible solutions. Ken believes this has provided a valuable insight to the challenges many businesses face and firmly believes that this places IBC in the unique position to fully understand the financial requirements of businesses big and small.
Ken has a passion for financial services and continues to work with clients to ensure the strong relationships that he views are essential to the provision of client solutions.
Away form work Ken enjoys football, travel and spending time with his family.
Derek started his career with a large financial services provider in Final Salary Group Pensions and was, over a period of ten years, promoted to the position of Pensions Consultant. Over the years (40 this year!) Derek has worked for six years as an Employee Benefits Consultant and then moved on to a variety of different roles; a Pensions Consultant, a Senior Training and Development Manager, a Branch Manager, a Supervisor, a Compliance Manager, a Senior Wealth Manager; and he has been a Pension Transfer Specialist since 1998.
Derek enjoys the advising role immensely as it gives him the opportunity to help clients navigate through a complex number of areas. In addition to that he is keen to help and encourage all members of the team in their own development.
Derek enjoys his golf (but he’s not sure others do), is a keen football supporter (although his team drives him mad on a regular basis), and is a keen reader and walker.
